Acknowledgement of Country

Glebe Public School respectfully acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, to whom this land belongs. We pay our respect to the elders of the past and present, for they hold the memories, culture and wisdom for our future.

Gadigal Country surrounds us with beautiful coastal sandstone and tranquil water ways, which have provided Aboriginal peoples with nourishing food, shelter, and spiritual connection for thousands of years. We promise to protect the land, plants, and animals that live alongside us as we learn, grow, and play.

We will continue to live, learn, and appreciate the natural history of this land and people for generations to come and we give our gratitude for the love and long continuation that Aboriginal peoples have had with this land. We promise to stand united in our commitment that through working in partnership, we will together seek reconciliation, unity, and equity for the aspirations of all Aboriginal peoples.

At Glebe Public School, we are committed to nurturing confident, compassionate learners. It is a privilege to lead a school where every child is recognised, valued, and supported to achieve their best.

Our core values of Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be a Learner, are central to everyday life at Glebe Public School. These guiding principles, together with the commitment of our staff and students, underpin our achievements across academics, sport, and the performing arts. We proudly reflect and celebrate the cultural richness of our community. Each student brings their own background, strengths, and experiences, which we honour and incorporate into our learning environment.

Our classrooms are places of care and inclusion, where learning is tailored to meet individual needs. We provide assistance for those with additional learning requirements, targeted support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and enrichment opportunities for high-achieving learners.

While Glebe Public School is small in size, it’s rich in spirit. Our strong traditions, engaged parent community, and quality facilities create a supportive and inspiring environment for every student’s learning journey.
